Services Provided

Demolition:

The Garage Design Center dismantled and removed the existing exterior framing, sheathing and siding in preparation for the carport conversion in St. Louis County.

Carpentry:

The exterior of the garage was framed according to the garage design including two (2) window openings, two (2) single car garage door openings and a man door opening at the rear of the garage.  Exterior sheathing was installed around the perimeter of the garage and cement board siding was installed to finish the exterior.

Electrical:

New electrical wiring was installed for ceiling lights, garage door openers and wall outlets including switches for the lights.

Insulation:

R-13 insulation with vapor barrier was installed around the perimeter of the garage providing added protection to the attached home for energy efficiency.

Drywall:

Fire-Rated drywall was installed on both side walls and the ceiling of the garage.

Drywall Finishing:

All drywall surfaces were finished in preparation for painting.

Windows:

Two (2) new vinyl windows were installed for aesthetic and functional reasons, allowing for ventilation of the garage.

Painting:

All drywall surfaces were painted white to give the garage interior a finished look.

Flooring:

The Garage Design Center installed a wall to wall epoxy floor system, giving the garage floor a very attractive and functional finish. 

Wall System and Components:

The Garage Design Center covered the remaining exposed framing on the back and part of the side wall with the fire rated Gladiator GearWall system.  Water resistant PVC baseboards were installed around the perimter of the garage allowing for worry free cleaning of the garage.  Gladiator Cabinets, shelves, hooks and bins were put in place to accomodate the customer's belongings.

Garage Doors and Openers:

The Garage Design Center installed attractive carriage house style doors and battery back-up garage door openers to complete the carport conversion in Ladue to a secure and functional two car garage.  The new doors complemented the exterior look of the St. Louis County house and subsequently improved the value of the home. Additionally, we installed a new asphalt driveway to allow for smooth entrance into the new garage.
